Hey Everyone.... I took a little break from blogging.... actually took a little break from the house stuff, it was becoming a bit overwhelming. Things have been progressing very well, and we were moving at an exceptionally fast pace, and then...... The building inspector showed up. I could spend an hour and a few pages on that subject. The long and short of it.... we lost a week taking care of nonsense, and I am now going to be the proud owner of a $4000 egress window that I never wanted, and magically has become an exceptionally important part of my ability to live in the place.
Besides that.... here is where were at. Framing done, electric done, plumbing done, windows done, fireplace framed, capping complete, siding complete.
what is happening.... Insulation starts Monday, should be done by Wednesday. Front door delivered on Monday, install on Tuesday. Front steps are framed, and concrete should be poured on Tuesday. Drywall is at the end of the week and I hope to be done by the 22nd.
Oh... and the PECO issue. They have come to the conclusion that the wire that has serviced the house for the last 56 years is no longer suitable. So we are now waiting for a new design, and we will be digging a trench that is about 60 feet long, and 18 inches wide, and 36 inches wide. Once that is done...... we can maybe get electric and stop building a house with generators.
